Victims for Life

9 Apr

The news about Prof. Siras was extremely depressing, and wholly unexpected at the time that it happened. The mystery that surrounds it is just so disturbing. If it was undoubtedly true that he took his own life, I would hardly be surprised. It is something that countless people from the community must be considering on a very regular basis.

But then, nothing is known for sure and it’s just so perplexing. Was it blatant murder or was it induced murder? And how much does it matter?

A victim of phobia, in a supposedly scholastic environment. Or was it more because it was a minority institution of that specific minority?
Either way, how safe are we, if we aren’t safe in an institute of academic learning and repute? Unsafe to the extent that we can be pushed to our end, by one way or another?

read this ,its a very sad thing….. atleast we r lucky … in the sense that we have the opportunity to go out and live in a country which has compassion for all its citizens be it straight or LGBT or any one…

The way the prof was tormented ,i just read is kind of sick, and is kind of normal attitude which prevails in the citizenry of our great land in general…. towards people who are bit different ….

The sad situation is every state is ruled like a personal fiefdom , accept for the centre where we have the most liberal government of time….. so lets see whether any detailed investigation takes place….

i read and then read about prof Siras and felt that it seems more poor the country , more interested they are in controlling and bullying each other… ( so even though in US there are extreme right wing groups which hate LGBT like hell, they have the Mathew Shephard Act specifically for the LGBT community )

and i feel it is not related to that particular minority or any other majority institute… its as a collective we r the most Homophobic country among many….

Are you aware that closing a post for comments, as you did today with the post that follows this one, is equivalent to putting a finger in each ear and making loud noises until your parents give up trying to talk sense into you and send you to your room?

Main naaraaz nahee hoon.

OMG dude!! Who translated that to you? And what do you mean by my only wanting others to heap praises on me (if you know that your comment says that)?

And oh LORD who translated that for you? It was COMPLEX hindi! I had to read it 3 times to understand the sentence structure… VERY Urdu! Was it FlyGye?

Lol! Now I feel like teaching you Hindi! You’d sound so cute speaking it!

It is a sad state of affairs. All humans are equal and someone can’t be castrated on mere choice of sexuality. Gays and lesbians do no harm to anyone then why are they always persecuted?

    • unsungpsalm April 17, 2010 at 8:00 pm #

They’re not the only ones to be persecuted, but well, one community amongst so many. Why are people so threatened by others who aren’t completely like themselves?
