Having the right political affiliations

13 Feb

So here’s why I support the Congress, even though my entire family is a BJP die-hard.

1. Bajrang Dal (Read BJP ally) dares to stir in New Delhi.
2. Sri Ram Sena (Read former Bajrang Dal) creates havoc in Mangalore.
3. Shiv Sena (BJP ally) threatens to humiliate people found celebrating “obscenely” (holding hands?) in public.
4. BJP govt. in Karnata pretty much sits on its fat ass through the entire episode… Church vandalism, and now, this.
5. Mangalore mayor issues legal notice to Renuka Chaudhry for “Talibanisation of Mangalore” comment (which was spot-on, by the way. I know. I recently finished reading “Kite Runner”). I hope Renuka responds in public by laughing at it.

1. NCP (Maharashtra) sets up stalls to sell V-Day cards and gifts, to protest moral policing.
2. Rajiv Gowda, professor-cum-activist, close to Congress, intiates peaceful demonstrations in Bangalore offices to protest moral policing.
3. Shiela Dikshit sees nothing wrong with people going to bars.
4. Renuka Chaudhry issues “Pub Bharo” slogan, puts own daughter in charge.

But the biggest shocker of them all…

Raj Thackrey says he was never opposed to celebration of Valentine’s Day. And that the MNS will not oppose it. Like, wow!
